Default Where have the Interbonds gone?

I've been off the grid for a bit and don't know the skinny on this. Can someone fill me in? Thanks in advance.

Who knows. I haven't seen any for a couple years now. I've heard good things about them, but haven't had a chance to try them. I imagine it has something to do with the stupid ammo shortages of the past few years. Good luck!

Hornady back burnered production of a bunch of different bullets to concentrate in filling production gaps in their more popular bullets.

Interbond's were on the back burner list.

Default Hornady Interbonds

Production of Interbonds have been ''temporarily suspended'' It's been quite a while and now they have just announced a new bullet called the ELD-X. I can't see that helping the Interbond production!

Easier to say we're introducing a new Wonder bullet than we're dropping the old dependable.

They had to suspend a lot of bullets so they could make Zombie Bullets.

When those came out I phoned a fellow I know there and gave him a rough time. His answer to me was "Well Abe, our first and largest orders for Zombie bullets have been coming from........CANADA. Wow, how do you respond to that?

Hornady is running about 800 ppl right now 24/7 and just can't keep up with demand. A little over 20 years ago they had 80 employees....

I think Their new "wonder bullets" are a response to ppl that don't think (ignorance) old designs are as good. They have to have a so called "premium" bullet. Plus, they have to be in front of any new or future laws regarding lead bullets.

There you have it. Sierra's have never failed me yet. Accurate, and load development comes in nice and easy. I always say that if your gun won't shoot a Sierra, there's something wrong with it.

And even Sierra bullets can be difficult to find at times. I needed some .204" Blitzkings, and they were out of stock, because Sierra hadn't made any in a while. As soon as they made a run, I bought four boxes of 500, so if they don't make another run for a while, I shouldn't run out.

Careful there elk, 2000 bullets could get you labelled as a "hoarder". Kidding aside, I'm with you. When you find what you like and what works, stock up.

2000 might seem like a lot to some people, but a a person can go through a lot shooting ground squirrels. I just bought a 17 Hornet, and now I need to stock up on .172" bullets, as soon as I settle on a load. I find shooting ground squirrels at longer ranges to be ideal practice for big game hunting. If you can hit ground squirrels at 200 yards and farther, big game is not nearly as difficult.

Just looked up those Hornady ELD-X, they have a nice selection of heavy grain .30 cal. Might have to develop some new loads.

Damn it!!!

Like most new bullets, it may just be a matter of when they actually make it to Canadian retailers.

Yep, and even then for a store to stock enough of them consistently.
