The kids will like that for sure.

We used to do something like that, but we live in the country not in a subdivision and the last few years we haven't had any kids come. They all seem to go to the towns and walk around the streets or go to the mall. Is disappointing because I loved to meet the kids in their costumes and dole out the candy. I really miss those days.

This is the first year for us living out of town. We sent out invites for friends to bring their offspring, but we don't anticipate unnannounced ghouls or ghoulettes this year.

One year on the farm we did a bale - crawl to get to the door and in between the square bales we hung nylons filled with wet macaroni. As you crawled through the tunnel you would feel what's in front of you but you wouldn't notice the nylon till it hit your face. Every one loved it and it scared lots of kids.

Get ready? How much effort does it take to shut the lights off.

I'll be regaling the grandkids with tales of All Hallows e'en from years long gone.

Burning leaves, carving pumpkins, taffy pulls, bobbing for apples, tipping over the neighbour's out house. soaping windows, ringing doorbells, burning paper bags of **** on the porch.

I've got a trick up my sleeve. My wife and son think I'm not due back for a few days, but I'm setting up a surprise where they'll be trick or treating way across town. I'm going to be answering someone else's door in costume and then surprise them. Thanks go out to fellow AO-er RedLabel for assisting in my cloak and dagger surprise by providing the door I'll be answering.

No kids yet but we're ready.

Hope we get some soon or I'll eat too many treats myself.

Default Kids pumpkins!

My kids pumpkins were a blaze last night! Let them burn outside, got up at 4am for a pit stop and both candles were still burning to my surprise!! Usually can't keep em lit! Only had 3 kids show up later on Quads for treats!! They will be back next year I'm sure with the pay load they received! Still a fun night relaxing by the fire!
