Default Tikka t3 syn.stock

POSTING THIS FOR A FRIEND WHO RECEIVED A PIVOTING BYPOD AS A GIFT. HE INSTALLED IT THIS WEEKEND,SET IT ON THE TABLE AND AFTER ONLY ONE PIVOT PULLED THE SLING SCREW OUT OF THE FRONT OF THE STOCK! HAS THIS HAPPENED TO ANYONE ELSE? IT SEEMS TO HAVE STRIPPED THE THREADS ON THE STOCK. DOES ANYBODY KNOW HOW TO FIX THIS?

THANKS FOR THE HELP

Remove the action from the stock first.

Cross drill the sling stud with a 1/16" bit, mix up some Acraglas gel, gob it onto the stud, re insert, wipe off the excess, and leave it alone for 24 hours.

Good luck
