Genasee is the only range in the area you speak of that meets licencing requirements for 50 BMG's

I understand that Rocky mountain House also has a long range. Last I spoke with a client who was a member there , they either have or were pushing it out to 1000 yards. I do NOT know if that range is 50 approved or not , I should find out but have been busy.

On another note the 2008 50 cal Funshoot scheduled for Sept 13th at the Genossee range. You can contact me directly at abtacrifle@shaw.ca for details, the more 50s the merrier.

Contat information for ranges is in the sticky at the top of this section.
Rocky has just fired up a website too, http://rockygunclub.com/

Be sure to specifically ask about 50BMG's as the fallout template and persuant licencing requirements are pretty sticky.

The Edmonton Police service practices at the Sherwood Park range every Thursday morning. I have seen them out there with a .50 cal(see my avatar...does that means the range is licensed for it...??) The range is only 300m though.

Ok a little feed back for everybody.... I contacted Rocky Gun Club Range manager he said there Range goes up to 500 meters, but they do not allow 50 Cal. Wepons There so it seems Genesse is the only range in central alberta that allows 50 BMG's

We have a 500m range in Hinton, AB. I am not sure if they have restrictions on the 50 cal or not. We have lost our previous range master (GBHS) and could look into it further if you wish.

Fixed it for ya Dick

Let me talk to the boys 50. I'll let you know what they say. We have a very private range on a 1/2 section east (a ways) of red deer.
