^^I fear you may be correct. I did not vote for him as he is not a good choice for leader. Unfortunately, we have him.

Good luck to us.

The funny thing, or sad I guess, is that to fly each one there created as much greenhouse gas as the average Canadian does in a year. We live in a supposed technology age, the majority could of telecommuters.

Pigs fly as oil industry and environmental groups endorse NDP’s ambitious Made-in-Alberta Climate Change Plan...

It seems not everyone is so butt hurt over the new provincial policies.

Maybe mention that it was four players in the industry, but, anything is good that reduces the oil sands 0.15% contribution? Now to get the rest of the world on board....and tell them to pay for it themselves!

Or mention that those 4 players are getting kickbacks in the form of 'green technology R&D grants' from the province. Yep, that's right, we taxpayers get hosed for $3 billion ($3,000,000,000.00) and the four big players in Ft. Mac. will essentially pay none of it. Just makes a guy feel all warm and fuzzy about helping the environment, doesn't it?

After the Klein years, the Stelmach dithering, and nothing done to diversify our economy, I'm OK with any change we can get. The mess we're in is at the feet of decades of AB Conservative rule and a decade of the same arrogance in Ottawa: no vision, no saving, no pipelines, no planning, and just a chant that we're an energy superpower and taunting the global community about everything. With all the deficits in Ottawa, what have we got? A billion dollar G7, Lake Wasteomytaxes, some new military ships 2x overbudget, new jets (maybe) and a huge debt for the next generation. People wanted a change but the Wildrose imploded at the wrong time. Good call there by Ms. Smith. Mr. Harper clinging to the Ford Bros. Yeah right, Canada was going to run with that vision. People didn't have much to choose from.

It's just the left living large. Leave em be, they haven't been to the trough in ten years. They're making up for lost time.

Until the east figures it out we're stuck with them for the long haul. Be happy if they leave you with your lint in your pockets. You'll likely have little else.

light em up!
