Default Hot Tub Service - Edmonton

Searched other threads, nothing current.

Any recommends for a decent outfit that will replace a pump?

Hubby has already done 2. This is #3. Pump lasted 3 years, not bad IMO for something that runs 365 days a year.

I have an older tub that came with the house when we bought ~10 years ago. As it's gotten older, it's needed TLC from time to time. Been interesting and educational whenever I've needed to tuck into it - learned something new every time. The parts guy at Sun Ray Spas ((780) 669-4194, sunrayspas.ca) has been excellent every time I've needed something and very open to working with you to troubleshoot or diagnose. He does a lot of educating others in the course of his job.

I recommend them hands down.

Was looking at their website, briefly.

Will see what transpires tomorrow. Pump is noisy (bearings gone out, I think.. or on their way out). Still running but probably not for long.

If you were looking for recommendation on someone to come out on a call, I'll add to my post above - Peter Thomson, Spa Time Electronics (780) 490-0378. I've been doing most of the wrenching on mine, but whenever I hit something I know's going to be deeper than I want to get into Peter's my go-to guy.

I've never had Sun Ray out for service, my experience with them is through their partsman.

It seems odd to me that you're only getting three years out of them. The pump on my tub is original to the unit, so 22 years old. I've had the bearings done one, maybe twice since we bought the place.

I use Beachcomber for all of my serious service repairs. Really fair pricing and they let you know where the best place for replacement parts are regardless of their own inventory.

What ever you do please do not use Dr. Hot tub, or whatever he is calling himself these days, out of Spruce grove. First rate crook.... You will be a lot less in the pocket with no service preformed.

We use a private guy out of Sherwood Park Dave Nagy
(780)238-7462 Great Service and we usually get parts cheaper than the dealers-delivered! Good at turning wrenches and inexpensive labour rates.
Seems odd you're only getting 3 years out of a pump
