Smile It's on its way hold fast!

Just got back from LA, +80 F and the traffic is impossible to describe, hell on earth is as close as I can come. The birds are already in Idaho, running water too, south MT has no snow, so don't despair, it will be + 10 C in Stettler this weekend.

This winter has sure been rough enough to change a guy's perspective. Before we left work yesterday a co-worker checked the forecast to see what is in store for night shift tonight. He says "-25, feels like -32....kind of like today, thats not too bad". I replied with, "you know its been a bad winter when a person talks about a -25 still temperature being not too bad."

And then I take a look at the weather network today. Supposed to get up to -17, sunny, no wind. And I think to myself that its a nice day to take my pitbull for a walk. And she'll be happy as heck to get outside, if either of us have cabin fever it is definitely her.

I've wanted to get away from this badly, but I'm not a sit in a resort drinking type of person and Vegas certainly isn't for me. Dang brother had to go getting married and having kids or I'd twist his arm to go golfing in Myrtle Beach again or something.

The older I get the more winder gets to me. When I was a garbage man in the late 70's/early 80's the snow & cold didn't bug me as much as it does now. We are now heading into the 5th month of winter & that is long.

Where is that avb and his global warming stuff when you need him?

Is that true that he is goose hunting in Mississippi right now?

That IS good news!

Of course, knowing my luck, it'll be on a weekend that I am on call...
