Default washing Muck boots

My Muck rubber boots with the neoprene sides are getting a really bad foot smell. How can you wash these? Throw them in the washer on cold water cycle then drip dry?

I put mine upside down on a heat vent with the insoles pulled out. Dry them quickly. No odor issues at all...yet. If they started to stink I might hand wash them with some antibacterial soap. I personally wouldn't use the washer, hard on the boots and the washing machine.

Ya my problem is that they are stinking BAD (I didn't describe how bad in my first post) because I kept putting them away in a cool damp porch after I wore them for a day with sweaty feet.

I know now to put them by the wood stove to dry fast.

O'll try hand washing them. Thanks

Toss em in the freezer that will take care of some of the bacteria. I also leave some of those odour eator insouls when im not using them helps keep things under control.

Just put them in the kitchen sink. Fill with water and a little bit of bleach. Let sit for awhile. Empty boots and fill with water and let sit. Empty boots and dry them out.

Default Boots

There's actually a special enzyme you can buy online for this. I had the same problem after wearing mine for weeks on end. Make sure you change socks a couple times per day to prevent this. I solved my problem by leaving them outside, the freezing kills the bacteria and the UV light during the day did the rest.

I just used a few drops per boot of bleach. I've done it a couple times without any issues.

Sounds crazy but it works, squish 1 strawberry in each boot. You will never have a problem again.

Default MiraZyme

Try this stuff.

Use it on my hockey equipment and it works great.

I found it in a Campers Village, but I believe WSS and MEC carry it. And I would assume BPS and Cabela's would have it as well. Plus I would assume any outdoor camping store might be able to get it in for you.

Like I said worked great on my hockey stuff and it is really simple to use and doesn't mask the odour, but actually kills the bacteria that cause the odour.
