Default Trail condition into landslide lake.

I'm planing a hike up the cline river into landslide lake and back out on the August long weekend. Does anyone have any information on the current trail conditions?
I will be going even if the fishing is poor but I would never turn down fishing tips!

Thanks

According to Trailpeak.com the trail is rated extreme because you have to climb 1100 meters in the first 6 km. The descent into the lake is very steep too.

I wonder if anyone from here has been in there lately and know what the trail is like.

If you go via the Cline it's not a bad hike in. We did it two years ago where we left one vehicle past whirlpool point at the fire interpretive trail parking lot and then took another back to the Cline.

We hiked in the Cline way and then went out over the pass on the way out. Stayed at Landslide a couple of nights. I know guys have hiked in over the pass but it would be a slog. It's a LONG way up from the highway!

Trail up from the Cline was easy to follow in most places and then when it follows the smaller tributary, if you lose the trail, just keep to the river.

Cheers.

Thank you!

We made the trip in, we went in over the pass trail and came out the long trail. The trail up over the pass is long and straight up, it took us 6 hours to get to the top, we ended up staying on top of the mountain Friday night. It took us about another 3 hours to get down to the lake the next morning. The trail is as described it is a brutal never ending climb up and descent into the lake. The scenery is every bit as amazing as the climb. The lake was awesome and the fish were fantastic we caught almost 50 with just 1 rod as we broke the other on the way in. They really like black and yellow and red and white, our 11 year old son who made the trek with us did most of the catching and i was the hook remover.

The trail back out we came down the trail to the Cline and out the Pinto lake Recreation trail. It was a great trail for the most part, there were a few places where the creek had washed out the trail pretty well but with a little climb around it was only a minor delay. It took us roughly 9 hours to get in over the pass and about 6 hours to hike out the other trail. I have included a few pictures of the trip ...

Was in on the July 1st week. Trail was good all the way in up the Cline. A few washouts but easy to follow and navigate the climb arounds. We were the only ones there but met no less than 30 people going up the trail to either Landslide of Lake of the Falls for the weekend as we were coming out. Depends on your hiking rate, but 6 to 8 hours should get you in there if your aren't old and out of shape like me.
