I have not fished the Bow a lot but my most consistent presentation by far has been a hopper dropper. The hopper works well from now right into October and I use a tungstud fly, in olive or black, as the dropper.

The tungsten beads on these files sink quickly and will be down near the bottom almost immediately, instead of only near the end of the drift. Hopper is a great fly right now and also works well for an indicator.

Also do not wade through shallow water to get to the "good water". I have caught quite a few nice fish in about 2' of water with the hopper dropper, before I started fishing the run that was maybe 5-6 feet deep.
