Default Cooey 39 Rings

I am wanting to scope a 39 with either Talley style or two piece bases versus a one piece base to allow more room to insert a cartridge. Has anyone done this successfully? Thanks in advance for any replies

It is easy to do, just take it to the gunsmith with the mounts you want to use and have him drill and tap it. I don't recall ever see a model 39 factory tapped for a top mount ring, all used side mounts.

You can read the manual if you can't load it successfully. Hope that help!
