Easy now trigger...
I guess I was confused with your offer.. You said you didn't like betting against Canadian Teams. That right there kinda got me thinking you wanted to wait and see what was going to happen.

Please expand on your idea. Lay it out nice and easy for a dumb (but playoff bound) Flames fan.

And moose... You chiming in really reminded me of one of the characters in the Lion King. Made me laugh actually.

If the Oilers are knocked out, then I owe you $20.

I will go double or nothing if the Flames face another Canadian team in the playoffs. So the 1st opportunity would be against the Jets. The only other opportunity would be if Montreal or Toronto comes 1st out of the east. In all probability I will be just paying you the original $20 bet.

I would rather find something to play with before the Semi finals. Thats a LONG WAYS away.

I am sure we will get it figured out.

I am sure you would since Calgary will be the odds on favorite until they leave the west.

I tell you what, if Dallas gets moved to the 2nd wild card and faces the Flames in the 1st round, I will take Dallas over Calgary if Bishop is healthy to start the playoffs

Oilers have a big game tonight against Dallas. They got the stars on their second of a back to back, and then entertain the ducks on the second of their back to back on Saturday. It's almost like the league knew the Oilers would be struggling at the end of the year for points. But that can't be it because everyone knew this year would be the Oilers year.

As a Canucks fan who can’t stand either Alberta team- the flames have a good shot this year. There have been zero perfect teams to win Lord Stanley’s mug. I think the flames will score their way out of trouble. Neal should become more effective in his role. They have a great D core. As much as it pains me to say, they have as good a shot as any.

Oilers fans- just be thankful they didn’t squeak in the playoffs and mask their problems. They need a couple major changes in that front office. I’m sure they’ll get someone who can fix this mess. Connors clock is ticking. You’ll need to be patient for probably two more bad years and then I think they’ll be in contender territory. It’s crazy how bad they are with that tandem up front. Mind blowing actually

Back to back makes little difference anymore. It’s not the 70’s. Highly trained athletes with science to back up training and proper food/salts intake and your good as new. Back in the day it meant a lot. Today not so much. Just have a look at the bench tonight. Hardly any of the players will be smoking...
I find that most people use this (weak) excuse when a team they want to lose plays next up. To kinda save face should that team win.

Im not using it as an excuse because I want Edmonton to lose, i want them to win. I want the Flames to be the ones to finish them off for good next week. I was just pointing out that the Oilers are playing 3 opponents in the second last week of the season against teams who are on a back to back. In fact, looking at numbers, the Oilers have played teams on their back to back more than other team in the league. Maybe you are right in that it doesnt make a difference given the current standings.

I almost think the more time off between games for a hot team is a bad thing. It’s usually those two or three nights off stints where they lose momentum and lose a game.

Sure you also don't want Pluto in alignment with Mars?

I don't see Dallas moving any more than I see the Oilers being in the playoffs.
I think thats done.

The battle is for 2 WC.

FACT: Stars have the worst record in the NHL playing the back end of a back to back. They are 3-7 So, history proves that if any team is struggling with a streak or lack of scoring, playing the Oilers seem to break their crappy luck.

Fact: The Flames, Sharks, and Golden Knights are 0-11 in their last two, six, and 3 games, respectively.

Fact: Nobody cares (except maybe Oiler fans trying to console themselves).

Fact: flames fans are douchier than Oiler fans as exhibited by the amount of times each jump into the others thread and deliver cheap shots...

Now if we could just recruit Bessie, there's a team between Okotoks & Airdrie that deserves him.......
