Default Where to get a PAL.

I live in Black Diamond south of Calgary. Who would I talk to about getting my Pal?

If you're willing to make the drive to Calgary then AHEIA is the cheapest (it's by donation).

EDIT: That covers the course and the test being administered. If you pass the test then you send in the PAL application with the appropriate fee. I think it's $50 for PAL only or $80 for RPAL if you want to own handguns.

I'd go with Classic_Cool's advice too. You can also challenge the test of you are comfortable with that, rather than spend a day or two taking the course.

TSE and the Calgary Shooting Centre also offer courses, as do any number of other private teachers.

Google "Canadian Firearms safety Course". Download the PDF file, read it cover to cover.Anyone could challenge and pass the exam. You then need to find a qualified instructor/examiner to give you the test.80 bucks. He'll give you everything you need to complete the application. Then you wait...
