Default Powder Scale

Want to upgrade my powder scale. I now have a Lee beam scale, but don't really trust it any longer. If I could have recomendations on scales pro and con it would be appreciated. Thanks.

I guess the big debate is digital vs. balance beam.
Personally I would'nt go with out either.
The green iron (RCBS) is the standard, others are Hornady, Dillon, Lyman.
Your Lee scale was likely sub $50.00 new, and your trepadation about it's accuracy is possibly well founded.
Expect to pay a minimum of $100 for a new balance beam scale, and at least $200 ish for a digital.
The only reason I have both is I've read and heard about the digitals going TU very easily.
I dont want to be SOL till I get something new.
So far my 505 RCBS, and my RCBS chargemaster Combo are performing flawlessly.

I started out with the Lee kit as well, and the scale was the first thing I upgraded. I got an older, used 505 RCBS, and verified it's accuracy with a set of check weights. Works great, much easier adjustment than the Lee, much quicker to settle.

It's no more accurate, possibly even slightly less accurate (we're talking on the order of .1 or .2 grains here, when I say less accurate -- so nothing that will make a difference) but it was a huge improvement in efficiency and ease of use.
