Default Hello Everyone, I was wondering what everyone's goals are this year. Since I am relatively new to flyfishing in alberta, my list of goals is pretty b

Simple goals myself this year

Buy new flyrod since mine had a horrible accident
In my neighbors car.
Get out as much as possible and enjoy the great outdoors
Dont much care what size fish i catch as long as they are biting.
I would much rather catch small fish all day long instead of one big fish
And no others.

I feel ya... Mine has at least 1-2 accidents every season, I bought a bunch of extra rod tips so I am prepared for when it happens this season. Regardless, I think 13+ years of fishing the same rod is pretty good.. Time to upgrade.

Other than that,

Grayling
Gold Trout
Pink Salmon

First on the list is TARPON followed by PERMIT and hopefully some BONES!! I leave for key west on friday and hope to have a great time fishing the flats!
As far as Alberta fly fishing goes I would like to be out in the mountains as much as possible.

I don't really have any fishing goals as ive caught just about every species I wanted to at this point....in Alberta anyway.
There's no such thing as bad fishing day for me....with the exception of losing 5-6 flies once hahaha.

That said, Id maybe like to get a boat other than my float tube so I can fish with someone else not from shore. Is that a fly fishing goal though? lol

But my bucket list this year is definately doing some of the Forestry trunk Road if I can find a partner to do it. Just read Barry Mitchells book and im stoked now!
Also a few hike in remote lakes as well as fly to the states to get some palamino trout and maybe golden trout
