Default Two bucks with wife and frend that wants to take up hunting

first time a friend of our wants to go out hunting . We had a blast didn't trophy hunt but got some good eats. and hes hooked. Started off with a education lesson at 6am. explained safety. rules and showed how to read the reg.
I explained that between me and my wife we can take 12 deer this year . How the land owner wanted us to take two smaller bucks out of the herd this year and if possible leave the three big ones alone. So we headed out and arrived to the spot. Well at 8 30 am we had one down and by 10 am we had the second one down. he loved the hunting lesson and the trip so well that hes now hooked and will be taking the hunting core course This spring.
we shot two mule bucks both nice size two pointer spikes will taste great and next Thursday he will learn how to cut and wrap and take home one deer for him and his familyPB060029.JPG

as you see I have some neighbors whom either don't hunt but love the meat or they would like to start . after a long day a want a be new guy or girl get to take deer home all cut and wrapped. This year I will be giving one deer to a family that the father had a stroke. Another family will get one do to the dad has a broken leg and cant walk. one will go to my son whom does not hunt but works for min. wage. one is hamburger one is Smokey's one is pepperoni .
The area I hunt is way to over populated with deer in one day you can count well over 100 just in a 5klm area. if these herds don't get culled down, sickness
could spread . also inferior deer will breed . which is why I will take meat over trophy. One this I have seen over the years is that if a farmer asks for help in cutting down the deer numbers , and you help then he will let you hunt for many years there. AS I do . I have hunted this one farm for 5 years now and never had a Problem with permission. To finish your question 5 family's will receive meat from my hunts. That's why I will take all 12 deer this year. Good luck to all and my your shots be true.

Thank you all . and hope you all have the greatest hunting outings this year.
Just received a call from Calgary surgeon . seems like I'm going under the knife again . so looks like this week will be my last hunting weekend. he said good chance I will loose the use of my right arm. if that the case will be selling all my bow equipment . will be a shame

Look on the positive side, sell your bow, buy a nice lever riffle on a bipod and keep on keeping on!
