Browning Sub Micro Trail Cam Security Box Modification

This Spring I bought another trail cam. A browning Strike Force Elite. It has a smaller size than my other Browning which is a few years old. The Box refers to the new size as "sub micro camera series".

I discovered that the New camera does not fit into the Browning security boxes which are designed for the older larger shape. This is despite browning's customer service assuring me it does.

A solution is to order a Cam Lock Box out of the US, but is too expensive once its shipped, nearly $100 CDN.

So looking for an alternative I stumble across a product at Cabelas.
"Stealth Cam® ZX Series Security Box" $34.97

Which is a re-branded Cam Lock Box. It looks to be about the right size!

2 quick modifications and it fits perfect.

First there are two internal flaps that have to bent back flat.

Then a 1/8 project needs to be ground off with a file to allow camera face to sit flat. Add a quick paint job to prevent rust.

Now it fits nearly perfect and lines up with the cable lock holes on body of camera.
