Default Fly Fishing the Okanagan

Anyone have any experience with fly fishing around Kelowna/Penticton area? Lots of lakes I know but looking for info on some of the rivers.

Thanks

okanagan rivers kinda suck

in the penticton canal you can catch some pretty big carp though, spooky and picky but pull like a freight train

I used to have a blast fishing the Okanagan between OK Falls and Vaseaux, particularly where the river was in a natural state.
Would catch some really nice Rainbows and the occasional kokanee and bass.
The fishing is probably even better now.

Some of the higher lakes have outlet streams that are rarely to never fished.
These spots were another favourite of mine.

I used to fish that area of the Okanagan River eons ago as well. Sometimes lots of 'bows right at the dam outlet eager to hit a Spruce streamer and then some nice natural runs down below as noted. Even found sockeye in there! Note that the river is closed from Oct. 1 to Nov. 15 and rainbows have to be released.
