Default Lynx seen in Edmonton

On Monday a fellow noticed a lynx sleeping under a tree in Edmonton.... on the legislative grounds. Doesn't say what happened to the cat. A lynx could live a good life on the jack rabbits in the city and hide out in the river valley. Like the coyotes.

The picture is Tim Osborne's. The fellow who saw the lynx.

Poor little character. I hope he was taken way out in the bush, for his sake.

We have all kinds of them all over Calgary and especially in my area. They take care of the bunnies and squirrels and generally dont both anybody. Lots of videos on Facebook of them around here.

CTV news last night said fish cops came and chased it towards the river.

In the 80's we used to see them quite often just South of Edmonton. This is cool to see as I haven't seen one around for years.

We had a Bobcat in our neighborhood last night... 2 blocks away from the house.

Poor little guy probably hadn't heard that most of the vermin were run off the legislature grounds back in the Spring.

Perhaps you're confusing a lynx with a bobcat?

There was one roaming around my neighbor's yard couple days back, wish it was an angry cougar.
