How come no one is talking about Sheehan (sic?). A goal and 3 assists for a career high. I like seeing the workhorses putting up the points.

The Flaming C Turtles are down 3 - 0 to the Senators after two periods.

Yes 23 had a beauty game. I really like his play. Smart hockey player too!

I think the oilers have been improving all season. Appear to be getting better as they go.

Likely the light schedule has helped them to get rested, healthy, and run full practices. The recent road trip gave them time to focus on the final 30 games or so.

Sheehan and Archibald are keepers. I guess that Arch goes back down to his spot with Sheehan when Kassian gets back. Tippet put the right guy in Kass's spot. Even Nygard scored. Laggesson back down to Bakersfield. They need the help down there but I think that's twice now where he's been called up and not played a game.

It's nice to be in the race.

Wow! Watched the show on McDavid's injury(from last year) tonight. All was kept pretty quiet. Didnt realize the injury was that severe. Pretty special guy this one is!

Can you imagine the reaction of the fan base if ihis injury and severity was announced and that it was a possibility Connor wouldn’t play this year,,, lost revenues, lost hopes

Probably good thing they kept it quiet. Also another angle to keep quiet is the possibility of rehab not working vs getting surgery... people woUld have lost their minds and said see,,, should have had a surgeon fix it!

I had to pvr it casue I was out, man that guy is incredible. Like they said in the documentary to have 48 hrs to decide what your future might or might not hold is not much time at 22 yrs old on that level of a career, but life can change that fast. The medical systems we have in place and the technology is incredible. Also just as amazing is the bodies ability to heal. Not saying surgery is a bad thing but I sometimes feel that’s it’s pushed as a safer option and they can get you back out the door quicker, but might not be the best option in the long run for your body and sometimes it’s the only option. To come back in 5 months from that injury is incredible.

I watched it last night as well. Just ncrefible what he went through! 179 days and 1000 hours of rehab! That took an incredible amount of courage! While also pioneering a new hope for others who suffer a knee injury.

He goes through all of that and still plays a hard fast game! I can’t think of anyone past or present that has his desire for the game!

Yeah, that was incredible. Had to watch it a second time. Pioneering is the word I was gonna use too. As he said when they were thinking about doing a documentary, he didn't want it to be a hero thing but if he could show others that there are other options out there, he was all for it. Now we know what that first goal of the season meant for him. Probably a lot more than the first goal he scored after breaking his collar bone.

Gotta be Crosby man. He's won the Mark Messier NHL Leadership Award, Art Ross, Maurice Richard, Ted Lindsay, Hart, and Conn Smythe multiple times, has three Cups, and World Junior, World Championship, World Cup, and Olympic Gold Medals. You don't achieve that with skill alone.

Lucky he had access to the teams he did and the medical tech they had at their daily disposal. Revolutionary but intensive and likely extremely expensive too. The hyperbaric chambers and just the MRI’s alone,,,

The cost is A drop in a bucket next to the revenue he generates for the Oilers and league wide.

Little premature but I won't be around a keyboard come puck drop Jan 29th..so in the immortal words of Michael Buffer https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I6eQ78HCGEA
In all seriousness, there will be NO shenanigans UNLESS there is a 3 goal lead by 1 of the teams in the last minutes of the 3rd..

He's also been in the league for substantially longer, 10 more years.

If Conner stays healthy and on pace, look out.

Reguardless of awards, points or stats he sure is a treat to watch every game.

Big game big game!
I see some flames fans are already throwing in the back to back excuse before the game even started...
Personally I think the flames are lucky. Being able to play last night and shaking the rust off the skates after a long break.....
