Mercury 2 stroke 30/40 Jet Motor

1989 Mercury 30/40 2 stroke outboard jet motor. Longshaft, oil injected jet with keyed electric start. Manual tilt.

Approximately 195 lbs

Runs great and powered my 16.5’ hull well, but have recently upgraded. The shifter on these motors relied on a flimsy external plastic notch system to stay in forward, neutral, and reverse which was broken when I purchased the motor. I run this motor with a short rope tether to ensure the motor stays in forward when running but a metal piece could easily be made to serve the original plastic parts purpose.

I’m the second owner and have had the motor on two different hulls since 2018.

Comes with fuel line, connectors and portable fuel tank.
