But she did buy into implementing a carbon tax on albertas on tirdo's word that we would get the pipeline built. Then she threatened to withdraw from it.

Has that happened? No, last time I checked, still paying another 8 cents per litre to the carbon tax.

Just saying,

The Government certainly is not going to wipe out the black market anytime soon with the prices I just looked at. I think once the market is flooded it may wipe a lot of black market out however but at $1200 a pound for top shelf it will be difficult.
I can say from Lots of experience the delahaze from san rafiial is worth a try. This is a Medreleaf company so I would assume it’s the same weed only a different name, Medreleaf calls it Luminarium. This sativa is great for me and has far less of the common sativa side effects. It’s not so racy feeling and I’m pretty certain it contains the rare THC known as THCV that has many health benifits including helping with weight loss and lack of appetite, diabetes. A pinch of this in a vape ground real fine just lights up with flavour. Delahaze makes a real nice hash too! I use a three stage bud grinder that collects all the terpines at the bottom and because it’s a potent strain there is always LOTS to collect. I use the wife’s hair straighteners and wax paper to make my hash.

On another topic they still need to clarify the laws better. It is legal to give someone of age up to 30 grams but you can’t sell it. So now what about from a medical aspect? Say for example I gave my brother a med nugget is that illegal? Or edible’s for that fact because the medical side has access to that. I haven’t shared any nugs but I’m sure it will come up.

For the people that don't like pot smoke at campgrounds... the government is going to only allow green poplar firewood at campsites to offset the pot smoke stink. The green poplar firewood gives off a thick stringent smoke which will overpower the aromatic pot smoke wafting in from 20 yards away.

And to the non users that have concerns with the pot smoke stink... luckily pot use leads to carpentry. You can bet there are many pot smokers trying to figure out ways to eliminate the stink. One thing sure is the organic scientist that figures out how to isolate the "stink gene" and make pot smell like flowers when burned is going to be remembered in history as the pope of pot.

Not so sure of that as many love the smell of pot including me. I’d shove it up my nose if it were socially excepting 😁

'nosers'? haha

"Everything up his nose doctor, I can't believe it!"

There should be really fragrant communities when half of the neighborhood starts growing their 4 plants legally in their gardens. 8 skunky plants per a couple.

Ba ha ha
The law states It’s only four plants per house regardless of how many occupants live there. Carbon filters will reduce a lot of smell and they are not overly expensive so I’m sure it won’t be as bad as people may think. Let’s just hope people are smart enough to go LED instead of sodium’s. I bet If anything house fires and insurance may increase.

I was thinking the folks that grow it outdoors in the garden. 4 six foot outdoor plants could be smelly.

Got to admit I hit “reply” on the first post ... just wanted to say that I will be happy to see the day when pot is not mentioned on AO or any newscast! Enough already.

So do I.

I knew some old timers were going to have a hard time adapting to legalization, but a few seem to be having a really, REALLY tough time.

A lot of little things annoy me on a daily basis but like the evil reefer smoke most pass within a minute or two, and it's back to life as usual, no damage done.

there was a time when having a fish pic from a boat and open booze in the pic would have had it removed by a mod. apparently everyone on ao is 18 and older, so talking wake and bake is a-ok now?????

Gotta say, the biggest shock to me is how many on this forum are users...
And what's disturbing about that is that I'll bet most were non-prescribed users long before it was legal, which makes those of you on that list previously guilty of a criminal offence. Most likely repeated criminal offences.
And yet in most posts you guys are condescending towards the law-abiding members for their negative opinion on a drug that's been legal for all of 48hrs.

I think it will be interesting to see where society ends up in my life time...and by interesting I mean disheartening. Not because of a substance, but because of people's mentality.

Drinking on a boat is illegal. Driving the boat and drinking is illegal and dangerous. Pot is not illegal. Nor is talking about pot illegal or dangerous. Lol

You realize booze was illegal too right? So when prohibition was over, would it blow your mind that people drank it? Lol

Little off topic but all this dope talk got me thinking. If pot is $9.24 a gram that’s $4191.19 a pound or $6,286,785.12 for a 1500 lb round bale.

I don't smoke pot or drink the firewater. At $9 gram what is cheaper to get you buzzed pot or scotch? Just wondering.

As for all the whining about smells... get over it. Loosen your sphincter a bit, and go join your neighbor and have a chat.

Some of you act like its the end of the world. Geez.

That is complete crap. You are using an age old argument to better your side.
" We smoke we toke get used to it."
Ring any bells?
Trust me we have heard all the sphincter talk we need.
Just keep that manure to yourself.
Remember not everyone partakes.
So much for tolerance, huh?

It's legal. It's an issue that is dominating the news. What would be the grounds for us to remove the thread?

Man, there are so many smells and odors out there in the real world that I think it unreasonable to expect one to be offensive yet another is acceptable. Some people don't like cigs. Others don't like curry. Some don't like campfire smoke. others don't like farm animals. Some hate the smell of diesel exhaust. Others hate the smell of fertilizer.

No matter what the smell is, somebody is going to complain. No point in telling someone to get over it because if they have an aversion to it, nothing is going to change that, but by the same token, I think most of us here "generally" think that in real world we just want to be left alone and not told what we have to do based on the opinions of others, and if you are getting angry at people over something as basic as smells, especially short duration odors, you are not as much a true conservative and/or libertarian as you profess to be.

Live and let live. Be as courteous and reasonable with others as one can be. Life is too short to make yourself miserable over things like this.

Why should I have to smell it? Why should I have to smell it?
Why should I have to go to Rogers place to watch a game and have a drunk yelling and screaming and spraying spittle all over while spilling his stinky drink all over? Get over it.
