Default What happened to Eagle lake?

last time I was fishing there was 5 years ago, the water quality is bad but not that bad. Went there 2 days ago, and oh my god, the water quality is terrible and stink!
Caught a 70cm pike with big head and so skinny! I think if the government doesn't want to take any action to protect the lake, the lake will be dead!

Feeling so sad!

Lots of sewage in that lake.
Won't ever go back there again.

Believe the irrigation canal runs right by it. Always wondered why they didn't connect the lake to create a flow of fresh water and more stable levels?

Waters always been terrible there, between the feedlot and tree nursery a ton of nutrients get into the water and algae is terrible all the time. If you thought the water wasn’t bad 5 years ago that’s more the exception than the rule

Such a shame. I really enjoy ice fishing on Eagle. I am purely a CnR fisherman, and I really like that the lake is strictly CnR. We've caught some chunky pike and eyes in there....would hate to see it die off.
