Default Applying for disability work

Hello. Was wondering if any body has any tips or suggestions as I'm needing to take some time off work as my health concerns increase. Bad knees, bad back , spinal stenosis. Have worked thru it the last 10 years but I'm getting very close on not being able to do my job properly. 30 year employee but I feel I need to take some time off to see if I can get some help. Any suggestions on where to start. I appreciate you're thoughts and comments. Thank you .

Sorry to hear of your suffering. You most likely have benefits at work after that long. Read your short term and long term disability benefit booklet. It should give you an idea of what is available to you. I am not that up to date but I would think if you are actively in treatment short term disability would kick in and after 3 months long term takes over until you are able to return to work. Your doctor should be able to direct you to an extent too. They often deal with workplace disability paperwork. If it can be determined that your problems occurred as result of your job WCB may be a possibility.

Mostly, the only advice I can offer is be proactive and positive in your quest to get better. If a person makes an action plan benefits/WCB/employer will typically support a person. If you get frustrated and complain you get nowhere.

The only advise I have for you is if you are not already taking magnesium, then start doing so. Take the maximum dosage. Your life will change.
Your symptoms are the same as my wife's. She was scheduled for surgery last year. Prior to the surgery, someone recommended magnesium supplement to the maximum dosage. Several weeks later, she attended the pre-surgery appointment with the surgeon. He was surprised to see the vast improvement in her condition. Her surgery was cancelled. She parked her cane mid summer last year and has not needed it since.
