(mine r not for sale tho)
Plus they have the best range finder I've ever used,
1000 yard on a tree, standing free hand is easy
Longest range to date is just shy of 1600.

Thanks BPH for the offer. We don't come that way to often but will take you up on that next chance.

hoping this is relevant info, people have different eyes that suit different binos or even brands, when shopping the big 3 (zeiss/swaro/leica) some have swaro eyes, some have leica eyes...you get the idea, you gotta go look through several in your price range....i'm way happier with leica than i was with swaro and i was pretty happy with swaro and zeiss seems my least fav of the three yet often the zeiss ranks 1st optically with a smaller sweet spot of optical awesomeness and the leica may not match the awesomeness of the zeiss it has a bigger sweet spot and some eyes like that better....keep in mind...and the difference in optical awesomeness between the big three flagships is not very big mind you but if you could check out all three you'd find one that speaks to you more than the others forsure...could be fit, could be features/locking diopters/adjustments you prefer, grip, combination of things including what your eyes seem to prefer from one brand to another, go look at the popular models in your price bracket, you may end up with a different brand than you anticipated

Celestron Granite ED's 10 x 42's for $500.
I was very surprised when I looked through them, so I bought them.

Good post Stinky Coyote....I totally agree. Try what ever is in your price range and pick what "speaks" to you. Don't worry what Jim Shockey or Italo Labignan uses...

If you wear glasses you will love the Nikons, they are the ONLY binos I have ever picked up that work great when you have youe glasses on....like I said you will not be disapponted regardless of what has been said for the money the monarchs are easily the best in there class, and better than most that cost twice as much

For the money Nikon makes decent optics, that you could happily use a lifetime, if you don't look through high end European glass and spoil yourself. Used, I would look at Swarovski , Zeiss or Leica. Buy something with 40-42mm lenses, rather than the 20-25mm compacts.
