Default Hypothetical Semi Auto Question

If someone was to acquire a semi auto 22lr in the near future considering current events, would say a stainless Ruger be a good choice? Asking for a friend.

The only thing better than a stainless 10/22, is getting two stainless Ruger 10/22s. Rinse and repeat.

FYI, My acquaintance bought an 10/22 SS in Mannlicher Trim. They seemed happy.
