So I'm getting a boat pretty soon and my dad and I want to take it out for the first time. He is only home for a little while into April so I'm wondering if there are any lakes in southern Alberta that have no ice confirmed. We are up at Edmonton and are willing to drive.
Most the southern lakes are open now. But if you want to fish then you will be restricted to the trout lakes That means Chain and even further south to Payne and other trout lakes in that area.
Was out all day today catching fish other than trout south of cow town. Many non trout lakes open in the south if you do your home work.......
