I wonder if they can fight against societal breakdown? That would make the biggest difference in gun violence. Nothing you have said will make a difference.

So when Hogg heard a “pop” while sitting in an AP environmental science class around 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, he told his teacher it sounded strangely like a gunshot. But there had been a fire drill that very morning and talk of a “Code Red” exercise to prepare for an active shooter. This must just be a surprise drill, he reasoned.

And then the fire alarm sounded. Dutifully acting on it, Hogg and other students tried to exit the building. A janitor — Hogg doesn’t know his name but calls him an angel — knew where the shots were coming from and sent the students back. Then a culinary arts teacher, Ashley Kurth, pulled Hogg and others inside, locked the door, and made them hide in a closet. Checking Twitter and Instagram, Hogg — who’s an editor at the school’s TV station — found the news that the shooting was real and ongoing.

The shots continued for what felt like an eternity. Hogg considered the possibility that he would not live to see the end of the day."

I am not sure what is clear about this.

One report has him hearing the shots and telling the teacher to close the door.

Another report has him at home and hurrying to school with his camera.

It's kind of tough to be in two places at the same time. Unless the truth has a certain flexibility.

It's very clear if you read it.

So, tell me then, how can you hear gun shots in the hallway if you were at home.

Was he at school or was he at home?

So you obviously didn't read it.

Take the 3 minutes and you can figure it out.

Yes, I did read it.

I also read the report where he was at home at the time of the shooting.

Was he at the school with his life at risk or was he at home, safe and sound, and decided to rush down to the school and pretend he is a hero.

Take 3 minutes to answer that one.

So did you not understand the part where it explains about how the clip talking about being at home was taken out of context? How he was in class, seen by many witnesses and went back in the evening to document what was going at the school? Or are you willfully ignorant?
If you read it I'm not sure how you could fail to understand this ....

This is the last paragraph of the Snopes article. CBS caused confusion by not being clear in their description of what went on and when. CBS apologized and corrected their error:

"After reviewing all of this, it appears that the problem was that CBS included a very confusing quote without context. Hogg was on campus during the shooting and returned several hours later to interview people across the street. The original story remains below, in strikethrough. I am sorry for the error and have updated the post accordingly."
