The nuclear apocalypse. Didn't you know it's imminent?

NOPE!
I'm waiting for a major EMP flare from the sun that'll fry all electronics and microchips all over the world, that too many people have become helplessly dependent upon.
Flares like that happened before and can happen again.
Then Darwin can take over and "cull the herd" so to speak, of the useless!

Here's hoping for a RESET!!

I'm confident I can survive in 1850 or earlier. Can you....?

Thumbs up it's really simple

I look at prepping the same way I look at hiking in bear country: I don't need to be faster than a bear, I only need to be faster than the people around me.

If you are new to the site, why do you want to fire up the conversation "again". Something fishy here.

I am not a 'prepper' but have been raised to be prepared. Its all in how you look at it and your situation. Where we live our power is very unreliable. We have been out of power for multiple days while being snowed in.

I try to keep firewood stocked, have a generator to run well pumps and tanks to fill with water.

We try to keep plenty of food on hand with only making a trip to town for groceries once or twice a month.

I keep plenty of building materials and home repair stuff on hand because I hate making an hour long trip to town to buy something small.

Preparedness has such a wide range. From fully stocked bumper to packing food and extra blankets in your truck. All about what you feel is needed.

If everyone was truly prepared all they would need is their shoes and would be able to get everything they need from nature.
