Sutter better figure out how to get this team away from playing the whole game from around the perimeter.
Upside we are dominating them like crazy here. SHOULD be up by a couple goals at this rate with the Power plays we have had.

Who didn't see that coming. Said it as soon as I seen him getting ready.

Boys deserved better than that, with that effort to battle back.
Dang it.

I don’t know what the flames have to do to get a win. The sens let them play in their zone for 18/20 minutes. The ref gave them 8 minutes of 5 on 4. The sens tried to give them the puck in the overtime. The ref calls a diving penalty out of nowhere. They walk away with 1 point. Be a new team in 24 hours? I doubt it.

I have to disagree, I didn't see much to make me think they got robbed of a win. They were inconsistent, and they had 8 power plays to score on, and got one? Not to mention that shootout was godawful. Gaudreau should never, ever, get to go five hole in a shootout again.
They lost to the Sens again. Awful.

Refs have been terrible this year. For the life of me I don't know why they don't put a spotter in the stands with an ear piece. Was it Mangipane that stepped on the stick, fell, and buddy got a tripping penalty?

Us Oiler fans were saying the same thing when we played the Laff's...ZERO points from our top guns

They just lost 3/5 games to maybe the worst team in the league. What they deserve is a couple bag skates minimum.
But if you guys are happy with nice tries, good efforts and darn you deserve better, good for you.
And what was M. T. doing? Was he running to his brothers roommate, Stutzle to see if he was ok???

Reason I thought deserved better outcome was they had a dominating third and tied it up from being down. Yep 1 out of 8 power plays is unacceptable. Not saying they were amazing the whole game, but they worked hard enough to deserve the win had they played more in the center of the ice.

Who said anything about being happy with good efforts and nice tries. They should have won a couple of these games, same with games against the Oilers where we had a late lead and let it slip away.
Not saying that's good enough in the least. This year of all years they have to finish the job. Every point left on the table is a point to a division rival.
If you're referring to Tkachuck pointing out the dive from Stutzle, that's what he was doing, making sure ref got that call.
Never understood how with an embellishment on a trip, it's still a trip? Why do both still go to the box? Anywho onto the next one.

Hmmmm maybe Sutter will ask a player to make a list and rank the players based on salary and play....and get him to read it out in the dressing room....ohhh wait that would be harsh....over the top

The sad thing is, they win those last two, and they're sitting in a playoff spot, just a few points out of second. The division is terrible.

It's like when a goal is waved off because of goaltender interference, shouldn't there be an interference penalty then? If there is no penalty, shouldn't the goal stand?

The officiating was on a par with the flames PP last night.......... God awful they had the man advantage for almost 9 minutes in the 3rd period and all they could muster is the Betman point.
Sutter was sitting at home watching and thinking OMG what have I done, I signed a 3 year deal and they are paying Ward for 3 more years to sit a home and laugh.....
They have some real issues on the team and Sutter by himself can't fix that, they better start looking at some trades

I'm pretty sure Sutter is fine with his decision. Doesn't seem like the kind of man to take on a challenge.
I'm sure you, myself and the players know trades are coming.
May not be this season with the cross boarder thing making trades harder, but off-season I am sure will be some moves.

Pretty obvious, that if they lost to the worst team in the league, it wasn't a "solid, hard fought" game. How is that not clear to everyone?

I have no problems loosing a game like we did against the Oilers the other night as was well played. Happens, but continually messing up opportunities is not acceptable. We have lost a few games, where we had late leads, or played good enough only to lose it late. That can't happen. Had we hung on we would be in a playoff spot and within a point or two of second.
That closing the deal is another thing I hope Darryl corrects. He has quite the list of things to fix.

The effort they put into the third to come back, yes I think they deserved better. My opinion only. If you see it differently Meh ok.

Bag skate first practice.
Liking this already....
Gaudreau-Monahan-Ritchie
Tkachuck-Lindholm-Dube
Lucic-Ryan-Mangiapana
Rinaldo-Simon-Leivo
Fourth line looks a bit rough, but Backlund's been playing poorly most of the year and I like the energy Rinaldo brings. Ritchie, in 5 games, has the same number of goals as Leivo, Nordstrom, and Simon combined through 52 and one less point. Why not give him a chance, also like the size and energy he'll hopefully bring.
""Definitely the best practice we've had in a while," said Chris Tanev." Doesn't seem like the type to brown nose. Hopefully moving in the right direction.

Any chance Backlund is on the move? I didn't think the only change was going to be the coach

TSN indicated he was dealing with a "family matter".
I suspect anythings possible at this point. Think the "untouchables" on the Flames is quite small right now.
