Calgary Auburn lake fish?

im moving my buddy tomorrow and he got a place in auburn lake in far south of Calgary....

I was wondering if anyone fishes it....? are there trout and perch?

that will be my new fishing spot!!!

I've heard there are some BIG fish in there. I saw a couple of pictures over on FFC but that was a couple of years ago.

So far no one has ruined the lake by dumping a bucket of perch in there, and for the residents of Auburn Bay I sincerely hope it stays that way. I am lucky to have a few friends live there and I have ice fished it a few times. Rainbows are the only thing I have caught. Many in the 1-2 lb range, and a few in the 4-6lb range.

yes there is trout in there and there are some good size ones in there

Live in Auburn Bay... Only rainbows, most small but there is the odd toad. Seems that there is less fish then last year but there still around, go off the east shore past the docks, you will find the holes were people have set up... And yes bring powerbait, good luck!
