Would love to see a head to head comparison. Took the Garmin out yesterday to the pistol range, and it picked up every shot regardless of rate of fire. Very simple unit to use, and works great with their app.

I'm not understanding. I watched the youtube video. What is the problem? Is it the price? Performance? $810 for the old version looks pretty spendy. I don't own a chrony, although thinking of getting one.

The "original" Lab Radar was reported to have software issues, connection issues, and sometimes getting triggered with your shots necessitating an additional external trigger system at extra costs. Where bad at getting any software updates. Overall cost put the unit. over the $1K mark. Large cumbersome units that were also finicky to set up.

People got tired of this, but had no real choice out there, until Garmin released their new unit late last year.

Cheaper, smaller, user friendly, no set up, no BS to it and it reads all your shots with no interference with others next to you. Easy to switch from rifle to hand gun, to rim fire shooting. Great app on the phone with seamless integration, and no one has reported any real issues that I have heard about, and I have been following it since Oct'ish.

Now Lab Radar released a new smaller LX version, released at shot show, but not on the market yet, so now there is this comparrison, but no real units out yet for decent reviews.

Most have now switched to the Garmin unit, or are in the process of, and selling off their old LR units, and not looking back. In a nut shell.

Years ago I bought and sold a Labradar and went back to my old Chrony.The Lab was big to use and transport, cluncky to operate, had a 4000 fps speed limit and sucked up batteries. On top of that, it didn't work all that well. I tried their customer support and their attitude was basically, it it what it is, don't like it, too bad. Their warranty service was even worse.

Sure glad I sold it while I could still get all my money back. Even if their new offering is as good as the Garmin I would never buy another of their products because of how they treated their clients when they had the market to themselves.
