300wsm rechambering

I am looking for some knowledge into rechambering a tikka 300wsm. Not sure what caliber I could do but I guess $$$ would be part of the equation. I mean I could sell the gun and buy another caliber, but if it was cheap enough to have a new tube installed for say a 270wsm or something then I would go that route.

Any advice or thoughts ?? Thanks in advance.

It would be cheaper to sell your rifle and purchase one in a cartridge that you prefer.

So why not just get the same make and model in a different chambering?

The 300wsm has a .540" bolt face and a short action so it really limits rechambering unless you stick with a wsm.

I rebarelled my Sako A7 to 6.5 WSM (6.5 leopard) I like it much better than the 300 and shoots way better. I got a benchmark barrel fromBighorn sales.

If you just want to go to a 270WSM a barrel is under $500 and installation is under $200.
If you really like that rifle I would go that route.

325 WSM would be an easy change and I'm sure you could have the same barrel rifled for it.

Likely not removing enough to rebore ive had barrel makers say no to a .308 bore to .338
My advice either find a new take off barrel or buy a new gun and sell the action from this one for $500-$600
