Default GPS to track my trailer

Hi folks,

I'm looking into purchasing an Autoconnect Guardian GPS to install in my cargo trailer. The unit is $350 at Certified radio plus about $100 - $130 for the tracking subscription.

I like this system as it will lay dormant until the trailer is moved then will send you an alert on your phone or email. With the higher priced $130 subscription it will automatically notify you of its location. I think this would be super handy if it gets stolen.

Anyways, I'm looking for some feedback of the AO community from folks who have this unit.

Thanks

As an alternate, maybe consider these guys? Alberta locals.

Pricing appears lower than what you're looking at paying.

I don't know the brand name but I did a Ins claim for a construction guy who used similar tracking on all his stuff. Found out his semi and trailer with a loader on it were moving and basically told the police where to wait/look for it.

One other time he beat the police to his stuff. Can hide the unit well under the deck etc so they can't spot it easily either.

Sounds like it's worth the cost for the tracking subscription.

Looks like the unit is free, but $20/month subscription fee could add up after a while.....might be better to put that $$$ into better insurance coverage.
