Default How do you ship a firearm within Canada?

I need to ship a semi auto rifle from Edmonton to Hinton. How do I do this? I tried Greyhound and the post office but it is a bit of a hassle.

Can anyone help me out?

Thanks

Brad

Canada Post.
Shipped with tracking and a signature required.(insured if you like)

Just make sure for your own piece of mind that there is no labeling to indicate it is a firearm.

Canada's [-ost policy is they don't want tosee any kimd of markings identifying a firearm.
Like was said, box it up( take the stock off if you can) package well and ship it insured.

The Post office workers really don't have a sya in what they WANT to shi[p, there is absolutely NOTHING illegal about it.
i ship dozens of firearms evry year withput hassle and haqve never lost one either.

Write a complaint letter to Canada Post. They are the prefered shipping method ,even outlined by the CFC.
Because some blanket clutching, tree hugging, Lieberal voting, nanny stater works there does'nt give them the right to break the rules.

I agree. The local staff shouldn't be making policy decisions like that. If they just don't like guns, then they're putting their personal feelings ahead of the goo of the corporation. Dangerous precedent to set in terms of the way a company's run, doncha think?

Let us know how the letter thing works out.

yeah, i think I will save my time and energy for cleaning a rifle. I could put some time into that but the woman at the counter would never even know it was her that the letter was written about. Besides which it would cost me $.52 or $.54 to send them a letter that would get lost anyways.

In any event the .22 is on it's way to Hinton so that's a good thing.

Thanks for the info. After I posted I printed the regs on line and was gonna go to Spruce tomorrow but now I can take my daughter shooting.
