Default Clueless wolves

I wish the wolves I hunt and trap would be this clueless and curious

Neat video. Got to wonder what is going on up there that wolves have no fear of humans at all. They can clearly see them standing there looking at them and they could care less. I would definitely be thinning that pack out as much as possible.

These would be good targets for all the hunters who think they need a bounty before they go out

Just back from a discussion along these lines. More and more close wolf and human encounters are occurring because of constant interaction which desensitizes them. The wolves in Banff Park are used to being ogled and fed by tourists. They then carry that attitude with them when they wander out of the Park and believe they will be treated similarly. Coyotes are no different. Not Good.

It's in Quebec, even the wolves there hang around waiting for handouts.

Nah - the wolf was looking in the window thinking "that one looks tasty"

Why don’t wolves hang out and stare at me?
Maybe because I’d empty a mag into them. Beautiful animals but hunting and trapping pressure alone won’t keep numbers low enough so I never think twice about trying for a shot when I see them

There is no doubt they have been feeding them. Notice how they are sniffing around looking for scraps. Got some great pics though. A old Walt Disney trick.

Default wolves

Banff wolves last summer deceided to drag camper out of his tent and proceed to eat him. Just treat them like nice puppies and they will learn to see you as chunk of easy meat.
Our wolves in Canada were so scared of humans for over 100 years as result of very desperate trappers in past putting chase on them for bounty and some $$ for their fur.

My first thought is they have a dog in heat, every male dog will smell that.

Packed down wolf or dog trails around the window. Is that a zoo?

Some Facebook comments suggest these ain't wild wolves.

I agree the 7 foot high fence in the back ground sort of gave it away.

It is a park in Quebec, you rent the cabin and stay in your enclosure to watch the wolves in their enclosure.
