Default great couple of evening sessions to start my Alberta season

Hey y'all! Managed to get out to a local large water fishery south of Fort Mac. Buddy and I had a whale of a time banging out jacks and walleye the last two evenings. I landed 18 fish in total for C&R. Biggest wal was probably pushing +22". Great scrap even though we were overgunned with our 8wt. I'll get some pics loaded from my camera when I get back to BC in a week. Chartruese Clousers with white marribou belly did the trick....now I just need to find a lake that has bigger pike and walls!

P.s. the mozzys up here are ravenous!

Tite lines,

Van

Nice pictures, did you know you seem to have a yellow spot glued to your lens.

lol. Thanks guys. Much appreciated.

Yellow spots? OH Yeah; trying to keep it low key here in the Mac.

The rod is actually a custom 5 piece TFO 10'10" Single Hand 8wt. You can put big flies 90ft all day with this rod and it'll punch them out to +120'. The reel is a 1315 Colton Torrent: THE IGFA World Record Mako Shark holder.

I'm using an 8wt Airflo Ridge CLEAR line (105'). The only lines I use. This particular one is the intermediate but both it and the floating shoot really, really well.

Thanks again,

Van
