Default New Rogers center, once you go out you cant come back in

Was just reading a story on global about the new arena. Basically if you leave the building for any reason during any event you can't come back in. Seems like a pile of BS to me

Is it for security or to get you to buy another ticket?

Supposedly there are a few other teams in the NHL that had this rule already.

What if you left a $15 beer in there?

They clearly stated that it was for security reasons.

Myself or any of my family will never set foot in the place. I hope oilers ticket sales drop drastically. There was nothing wrong with rexall place. I'm not about to take a bus or the LRT just to go to Rogers place. Rant over.

I only go to Flames games when the GF Dad gets the tickets from his company. It's just costs too much for something I can watch (with play by play) on tv for

Vancouver is the same way, at least it was when I went to a game there. It's a ridiculous rule in my mind, if I pay that kind of money for a ticket and wanna sneak out for a smoke, I should bloody well be able to. It's not putting any other patrons out that I'm doing that. I'll just chew non stop and make sure to spill my spitter at the end of every game, lol.

Apparently the other team with rule is Vancouver. We got tickets for a concert there this month, probably the first and last time I'll be in that place. Been in Alberta 11 years, went to rexall place once, for a hockey game. Was the most boring thing I'd ever paid money to see. We were in first row on the second level, couldn't hear the game at all, and it wasn't because the crowd was to loud. Much rather go watch junior hockey in a small town rink, where a beer and fries is $10.

Not enough entrances & exits, concessions, beer lines, bathrooms, terrible access for half the upper deck, and tiny concourses you couldn't move in after a game or concert. It was time for a new one

Katz sure took it to Slippery Stevie, Redmonton city council, and the sheeple of Redmonton. Edwards will do the same to the purple prince, his fellow clowns on council, and the sheeple of Calgary, too. Builldings should be erected by the owner from whatever source of private funding they may require, not taxpayer funding. Build it on your own, you will be getting the revenue!!!!

I've been to only one regular season oilers game a few short years ago...never again! I can honestly say that I will never ever purchase any ticket for any reason for this Rogers Arena...if I owned the Oilers Team, I would think that I would have to pay to build me a new barn to play in...not tax payers money that's for sure, oh how the Rich get Richer off the backs of the less Than Rich folks.

I can't wait to go see a game up there. We'll make a weekend out of it and stay downtown, walk to the game. I've been following it's build on their live webcam for the past couple of years.
So cool!
Was really surprised at the "no re-entry" policy. Sure is going to P-off a lot of smokers. Won't affect me in any way. I don't see why they can't carry on like normal. Doesn't currently seem to be a problem the way it is.
Oh well. Meh.

If people can't go out somewhere without getting high they shouldn't leave their parents basement. If they planned ahead better they could make some no-bake brownies and ziplock them for the event. The further away those stinky smoking louts are kept, the better. If they can be odor-free then have at it. Having concert seats near potheads is like being stuck in an elevator for 3 hours with someone doused in a nauseating perfume.
