Not for that amount of shooting , no unless you want to shoot custom made loads .
The amount of time involved and the cost of the equipment is also a consideration that many do not think about .
It takes some high volume and time to recoup the cost of the gear .
If you want to get into it however, it can be enjoyable .
I can sometimes hand load for under $4 a box depending on what I am using
For components however and gauge , but not t 12's except BP cases.

Go to Cabelas and buy the Challenger target loads when they are on sale. You can usually purchase them on sale for around $70 per flat.

I just did the math a while ago and this is what I came up with for the components I could find.
1-1/8 oz target load
#8 shot at $54.60 / 25 lb = $0.154 each
Claybuster wads at $18.89 / 500 = $0.038 each
Fed 209A primer at $48.29 / 1000 = $0.048 each
Tightwad Powder $25.65 (14 oz) = $0.067 each
Cost to reload (with no value considered for the hull) is $0.31 each
Not really worth it, but I did it anyway. I like reloading, it's somehow relaxing and rewarding for me. Got a used MEC9000. Just loaded up 1,000 on Friday night. I was being careful and not trying to break any records, did 1,000 in 3 hours including some tweaking time of the 9000.

If you are loading 28 gauge of 410, reloading is cost effective, but for 12 and 20 gauge target loads, I would never bother.

That is what I do. When they go on sale buy as many as you can afford. They are expensive now due to the US dollar. I have a feeling when the CAD and USD come back, retailers will not be so keen to adjust back as that will reflect on lost profits.

Winchester Ammo on sale right now at wholesale.
Winchester AA rebate is on right now ($2.00 US a box)...
Careful shopping you can shoot AA Winchesters for cheaper than $80 a case.

If 250 AA hulls can be purchased for ($80-70=) $10, that is only $.04 ea.
My ‘prepper’ and contrarian investment philosophy suggests that,
when inexpensive factory shells are cheaper than reloads,
may be a good time to buy a good quality used press (for a low price, because of low demand for use),
many used presses will include loading manuals and some wads or hulls,
and pick up discarded AAs, STS & GM hulls whenever easily available.
Today’s economics can easily change, and quickly.
Good Luck, YMMV

A better load then any promo factory shell.
Softer shooting too.

I wish I knew about the rebate a month ago.... thanks for the heads up Sneeze.
Hopefully it is valid in Canada, I can't find much for details
Not that far off. On sale for $10.34 at wholesale right now
http://www.wholesalesports.com/store...-Loads/p/52598
less $2.00 (US$???) is $8.34 and box
http://www.winchester.com/library/sp...aa-rebate.aspx
Rebate says "Winchester ammunition check" not sure what that means or how you would spend a US$ "winchester" check in Canada but it's worth a try.

Says valid in Canada. Need original cash register receipt and UPC codes from boxes. 10 - 50 boxes. Nice find. Wonder why Wholesale would not tell us about it.

Wholesale was blowing out the anniversary boxes of AA for $97 as of a few weeks ago. Add in the rebate your under $80. Don't bother looking for them in Lethbridge once I figured it out me and a few other shooters cleaned them out!
