They are quite resilient, and grow quickly. Had one build a web between the garage and shed where the walk path was - probably 3 foot in diameter. I had to send the wife out so I could get to my vehicle and do a Timmy's run

How about this guy, about the size of a quarter

Fairly aggressive too, didn't back away when poked with a blade of dry grass

Safely relocated to the bush

It's the jumping spiders that I get a kick out of, they truly are fearless - and curious. Was sitting outside one day with a cup of coffee in a paper cup. Zebra jumper landed on the rim and ran to the edge closest to my face and sat there. I turned the cup, it ran back to the edge closest to my face and kept doing it. finally jumped on my face. Totally harmless, but so neat.


The zebra jumper, pretty common in Alberta.
