Default Broadhead suggestions

Hey everyone. For this upcoming bow season I need to purchase some broadheads. I'm drawing 55 pounds and have a draw length of 29 inches. I was thinking a 100 grain broadhead of some sort and was wondering if you all had a favorite brand or model?

Default Montec

Everyone in my hunting group uses Montec. I like them, easy to tune, accurate, pass through on a bear at 40 yards last year. I would love to get my hands on some Toxic Broadheads this year and give those a try... Happy hunting!

Our group loves Wasp Jak Hammers(100gr 1 3/4"cut). Very accurate, super tough, hit hard, leave huge holes, and short, but well painted blood trails.

Slick Tricks. Can't go wrong with any of the different versions. Not only do I consider them the best broadhead out there but they are also one of the most reasonably priced and they fly like field tips (still recommend to shoot one as a practice point). I have the meat in the freezer to prove it. The farthest a deer went after they were arrowed with them was 60 yards. It was a doe on a 40 yard shot. Check out the thread I started on the Slicks to see who all is using them. Alot of guys seem to like them.

Default Broadheads

All these replies and not one person asked if you're shooting compound or traditional. No one asked the spine of your arrows to suggest a proper broadhead weight to match spine. If its a compound, no one asked if you've paper tuned the arrows to make sure you're properly tuned to get good arrow flight with the arrows you shoot now.

Next we'll hear you asking why your broadheads aren't as accurate as your field points were and eventually someone will say "you need to shoot with back tension to shoot accurately." I gotta shake my head sometimes when I read this stuff.

That's cause we can read!!!
His question was "I was thinking a 100 grain broadhead of some sort and was wondering if you all had a favorite brand or model?"

I shoot a 100 Grain G5 Striker G5 ss my favorite and the strikers are my favorite model!!

That said let say he is shooting a properly tunned compound bow with 30" .400 spine deflection. What broadhead would you suggest?

I'd suggest that if he's properly set up and tuned then any broadhead at all will fly and kill well, regardless of cool names or marketing gimmicks.

Prefer a mechanical over fixed, am using 100 grain Eastman outfitter Firstcuts (can adjust to 85 grain if required).
