Default Carpenter ants in cabin

Well I’m losing a battle with carpenter ants in my cabin. Has anyone found a way to combat these problems?

Put in spray bottle spray where the ants are. They will crawl out by the hundreds and be dead in minutes.

Is it safe to use that stuff when there are dogs around? We’ve got an ant problem that we’re losing as well.
Thanks

If you’re not looking for nuclear power Ant B Gon max from your local CT store will fix the little buggers…it has (a small amount of) malathion.

Here we are 16 days later and I believe Poulins ant killer is doing its job. I applied the product along my house foundation and in any sidewalk crack noticeable.
I even went so far as to watch them go into a small areas/holes and applied the solution at that point.

I am just not seeing them like I did prior to application.

That stuff works good to kill them on the surface it also stops them from coming out in the open and then they just stay deep in their holes until they find other places to come out . You need to get some of that white powder stuff they sell so they can track it into the hive and kill the queen . Then you can spay the outside in about 3 weeks .

If you want to get them all with the spray you need to drill holes in your driveway or sidewalk about a 18 inches apart and spray deep in the dirt to kill them all at once ...some good youtube videos out there that will show you this
