Default Want to see a 32” Alberta walleye?

https://youtu.be/3GbS9sQQE9o

Sorry it’s a video

This girl is a complete tank. I think the part with the big walleye is around 6 minutes in

Well done boys!
I see a fair amount of 30” plus come out of rivers each year but not from lakes. That’s big.

Those of us who've fished that lake for many years have caught big fish there but we don't advertise it on social media, parking lot is going to be a gong show again.

The lake is no secret

Let’s be completely honest with Alberta’s lack of lakes any lake with size to it is known. Lakes have been on fishing shows, mags, and on the web for a long time it’s not a new thing

The man has full rights to share his adventures just like those who are complaining have rights to hide everything they do

We need more fishing on the forum and less crying

I was out two weekends ago in front of my place on Sunday morning and I am very sure I saw you guys go past us going north. We were the black and white Sylvan with two guys in it.

For a real kick, try mid lake trolling for suspended fish in the heat of July. You will be surprised at the size and numbers of suspended walleye and pike.

But yes, that is a solid fish that should be 20 years old. Post spawn I would expect about 9 1/2 pounds. By summer well over 10 pounds.

It will have reproduced about 15 times and its genes will be well represented in the lake. Even at 4 % natural recruitment, the hundred thousand of eggs from that fish really has an impact on the population for the future.

I dont think I'm the sole reason why people are gonna fish Calling lake. Its considered a larger known water body in alberta. Its always a recommended place to go by all the local tackle shops. Calling lake fishing guides always advertise how great the fishing is posting all the photos online and instagram. Its definitely no secret.

Fish N Canada a real fishing show aired on television and youtube posts quality walleye caught from lac la biche. I dont see anyone blaming them for "destroying" the lake and making the parking lots full.

Google "alberta trophy walleye" and the first link is to CBC.ca showing off a 28.5" walleye.

Not to mention the advertised weights of all the yearly Tournaments held at calling.

These are real news agencies and television shows with 1000 times the exposure. I apologise if I ruined your day. But this is the new age.

If anything I did the lake a service because there is toooo many damn walleye in that lake. We took home 4 walleye that day. So now there is gonna be less starving walleye.

It's always the people who've fished a lake a couple of times and think it's their lake...

It's Calling Lake with a 1/4oz jig and minnow or swimbait pattern PowerBait. Hardly earth shattering. Could've been caught by anyone, but glad it was your group Huy. It's genuinely entertaining to see people so excited in the boat.

Don't worry, you did not come too close to us! I figured it was someone I knew that I did not recognize at the distance!

All is well, and the fishing was solid and continues to be solid!
