Default Aspen Beach Boat launch

Last year the aspen boat launch at Gull Lake was closed because it was silted in so the park had opened the gate to the brewers side to launch there. Does anyone know if that is still the case. Heading up there tomorrow. Thanks in advance

Went to check it out last Sunday, launch is still closed and as per Alberta parks website, that will be the case for 2020. The brewers side was also closed and docks still out, however I'm thinking when the campgrounds open on June 1st they will open that side and day use boaters can use it like last year.

Sandy point is closest to aspen, if you do launch there make note of the sign there at the launch that highlights a shallow rock flat to avoid. Otherwise further north on the west side there is stoners landing which is decent as well. North east there is one at Meridian Beach.

I'm not sure if the docks are in at those locations. Sandy point's are for sure.

Used Sandy beach. Great launch. It was a slow day on the water with my grandson. But like he said “patience grandpa”. And of course it paid off. Any day on the water is a great day

Sandy Point has a public day use beach area.

What about sunnyside? Looks like a public beach area nearby but not sure you can get a boat in there

Went out to sandy point this weekend. Wow what a nice set up!
Aside from people taking a really really long time on the boat launch, it was a pretty slick place to go
