Ya I remember the 82 final that was awesome, my father in law was at the final game in Vancouver he had season tic's and sat right behind the net and my mother in law got hit in the face with the puck, so they take her away to the hospital for stiches and he stays to watch the game, man did he love his Canucks...anyways Cheers dude...

X2-lol...but if the hawks play like they did last night we will get ours to(tomorrow). I also think Sutter's screaming match is going to affect the flames in a negative way. They aren't in bad shape in the standings and with only 20 games in and it's starting already. I don't know i just have a feeling it is going to eventually put a bad bad vibe in the flames dressing room. Which isn't a bad thing for us.

PATHETIC!!!
GROSS!!!
WASTE OF ELECTRICTY TO WATCH THAT GAME!!!

Sure the Flames are a good enough team. But if they want a shot at going deep into the playoffs they need to make some changes.
Making playoffs is not good enough for this team. It might be for others. But with the core group of players we have we need to do better.
I hope each and everyone of them couldn't look in the mirror this AM.

lol...i know and sure i am going to pay for that comment tomorrow. Especially on here, but even with the oilers poor play of late i think they can still put in a better effort than the lamers did.

If there was a time for Sutter to have a hissy fit it would probably of been last night, I sure hope he did, because his players don't respond well to it.

GO OILERS GO!!!!!!

OK no one else has said it so I will throw out the coward factor......no Sutter would have ever gotten into a fight and not taken off his visor and helmet...but I guess Celine is to pretty to man up.....

First I was going to say maybe he didn't have time...but no, he started the fight. nothing made me madder than when some guy wanted to drop the gloves and he kept his visor on. I've cut my hand badly on visors. Im surprised at Phaneuf. At least when Rypien and May went at it...they both took their helmets off before throwing them. Thats class. The only good thing about a visor-wearer...is you hit them hard and fast, straight on, WITH your glove on...boy you can mess up a nose real bad doing that!!

Well the boy's couldn't get er done last night, would of been nice to see Khabbi in net, but probably wouldn't of changed the end result. It is really frustrating trying to watch Horc, Moreau, Cog's, O' sullivan play hockey. It's like they lost their hands as well as their sense of where to be on the ice..Grrrrrr

No worries though for the Oil and the lamers for that matter, this is a team they should be losing to. After all the Hawks will be going to the big dance this year(Just my prediction)

that was a hard game to watch....very hard. no one on that team has any sense of leadership and/or ice awareness. just brutal...coasting when the should be skating hard, holding the puck when they should be passing.....and just over all confusion...terrible.

I'm an Oiler fan, but it breaks my heart to look at this team.

1. They are almost at the cap and what do they have for it? Name one player they have that other teams would drool over and want to put on their first line. No stars here... Penner maybe if this push lasts. Hemsky is flashy but it's all sideways with him. He isn't even a 30 goal a year player.

2. Their highest paid player is their WORST center. He would be third line on most other teams. 5.5 million? Does he have pictures of Lowe doing something illegal?

3. Moreau as captain? I believe the captain is someone the team can look to to change the game, turn it around, to lift the team. Moreau's not that guy. He is a second or third line player. Hard worker but that's all.

4. A whole bunch of little 180 lbs forwards that can't play rough OR score a lot of goals. What's the point? Patrick O'Sullivan? Really? smalll guy who will get you 15 goals this year.

5. That's a pretty higly paid group of defencement who don't really earn it. 4 Million for Tom Gilbert? Same salary as Robyn Regher... Come on....

From all reports it sounds like Calgary played well against LA.
Good on Iggy for the Hat Trick.

Perhaps the blow out was what this team needed.

Not meaning to beat you oil fans when your down (For good??)

But what do you think of this years edition?

What do you think of Quinn? Each time I see him on TV he seems to be blowing a gasket.

Does losing Hemsky for the year absolutely put you in Golf mode?

Tough year in Ed so far.

Honestly i feel for you guys. I know how much we all like to see our teams win.

Oh goody Capt Cowturd feels sorry for me...bah....feel sorry for your constant heartache and inability to win championships.

Just kiddn Jamie had to tow the company line for a bit . It sucks how they look so good at times and then so bad. I really thought they were going to pull it off against SJ last nite but fell short ( again ) Id go thru our injury list but why bother? Too many fans say its just an excuse and has no bearing on anything. Ya right, lets see how many pc princesses goto work when they are sick or injured and have to compete physically....theres alot of season left and anything can happen but it just doesn look good when you win one and lose three. Ah well I will keep watching and keep cheering.....

haha, thats funny cuz a lot of oiler fans were ragging on the flames woes at the end of last season when injuries went crazy for the flames and they couldn't dress full lineups. Not saying you said it but there were a few on this site that said you can't use it as an excuse. Momentum is everything in sports. if you limp into the playoffs your gonna limp out pretty quick. I am sure you can agree the red wings would be in a much better spot if it weren't for their injuries this year. They have lost a lot of talented man games this year.

Well we had more injuries both last year and the year before...yet we still managed to finish near 8th and the team (under MacT) seemed to still try. Not just that, but this year a LOT of teams are going through injuries and flu's, unlike the last 2 when we seemed to be one of the few. All this while Roli has career nights in NY. Oh well, mabey in my next life I will be a GM
