Question Buying first gun

Im looking at taking pal course to get my license. But ive heard a few things from people that im not 100% sure of. Some of them said you dont need a licensce to purchase a gun. Im thinking that i should need one. If you go to a gun store do you still need your PAL to make a purchase for a rifle. Its a silly question but i wanna just make sure im on the right track

Your on the right track. PAL is a requirement...plus added benefit of the safety aspect of the course.
Good luck with it all

Yes, you need a P.A.L. There is no longer a long gun registry though.

Yes you definitely do still need your pal to purchase a non-restricted firearm. Just don't let them twist your arm into collecting any other info from you for "warranty" or any other reason. Some stores still try to keep a shady sort of registry.
