Default New Nosler Long Range

So decided to post a picture of the New LongRange Accubond so people could check out the profile. Beside it in the picture is a Berger 30 Cal 190 Nosler is saying 730 BC Berger is 530 in the 190 grain and the Hornady 208 Amax is 648

The interesting thing is going to be what the real-world drop data indicates for an actual BC value.

Exactly, calculated B.C.s, and actual B.C.s, are not always one and the same.

Most manufacturers quote G1 numbers, which use a form factor for standard spitzer bullets. G7 form factors involve VLD shaped bullets with a BT and a pointy nose. The only difference is the form factor used to calculate the BC number. G7's tend to be more accurate over larger distances for the LR bullets in use today.

Ahh. BC's. The number 99% of shooters quote and the number 99% of shooters will never use. Ever.

A lot of truth in this statement above.

And the same 99% of shooters have zero need for the AB LR if they will never need or use a high BC

Excellent marketing by Nosler.

I wonder when the competition is going to get on this "long range" band wagon at full speed. I know, they already are.

Should be interesting.
