Default Alberta hunter sues taxidermist for damages to exotic hides

I've had taxidermy done by Kriaski, so I am shocked to read this. My experience is nothing but quality. I wonder what changed?

It’s minor compensation for the lost hides. You can’t go down the street and get a Marco Polo hide. These were all for full body mounts as well. Pure negligence. Also pretty dumb business model. Here’s 100k a year in work, all you have to do is not screw it up. Oops dropped the ball on that one.

Because it was 12 years ago. At the time, I’m sure he was a reputable taxidermist. Things obviously changed back around 06.

Ya he’s written it off as being lost, sold, or destroyed
Was his first Boone and Crockett whitetail
Good thing he’s got 4 190’s since then

He had stuff for 6 years...then in 2012 asked for it back, that’s when it went to Brian’s shop and they found out how bad. It’s been in the court system since then. From start to finish...12 years!

Clarence is a piece of work. Liar and a cheat. I really hope no one trusts him with another animal again.

I wouldn't feel bad if he was hit by a bus.

Sadly he's too old to beat down to even a score.

I know several people that had great experiences with him, but google his name... Theres piles of stories of lies, cheating and stealing.

I know I paid for a mount that was not even my animal. God only knows what actually happened to mine and whose I ended up with.

Friend of mine has one of the coolest whitetail shoulders I have ever seen done by Clarence. I took my first bear to him when I was 17, told me a year turn around. 5 years later after a lot of hounding I got back what I hope was the same bear. First and last experience with him.

He is a real liar. My Brother-in-law and Nephew took some very large perch to him back in the 90's and he sold them on them and tried to pawn off some much smaller perch as there mount. I took a rainbow to him in 2001 and he told me about 4 month turnaround. I stopped in every 6 months and he continued the lie... I will get to it here in the next couple weeks. This continued for years. Finally in 2009 the skin of my fish was long since gone as it would have been so badly freezer burned and damaged. I had enough and went in for a my money back or my pound of flesh. Miraculously he says oh really I have your fish done. A rainbow mount on the wall close in size to mine is done. I knew it wasn't mine but rather than fight I took the mount off the wall and walked out. 8yrs of fighting with him and his lies. No integrity in this man, I don't recommend anyone dealing with him.

This is what happened to me as well. I got a fish, but it wasn't mine. Unfortunately for me, the fish I got was much smaller than the fish I brought it. It took me a few days of looking at the fish on the wall and the pictures of my fish and the measurements I had to figure out with %100 certainty that they were not the same fish. Once I figured it out, I called him to get an answer, but his shop was closed. This was right after he was charged with the african hides and shut his doors. I accpted I would never get a chance to make it right with him because he clsoed his business, but then I found out earlier this year he has since opened up. I will stop in one day when I am going through to put the screws to him, doubt he'll do anything but lie and deny, but even if questioning makes him uncomfortable and scared it iwll be worth it.
