Gull Lake Fishing
Sandy point has been my go to spot this year, lots of pike. Seeing whites but don’t seem to have no interest in the wire worms. How’s everyone else’s luck on Gull this season?
Ice thickness is over 10 inches 50 yards out

I've mostly been targeting burbs and usually get my limit right in the morning but after that, the bite dies off. Seen the odd white but haven't targeted them yet.

I’ve been seeing lots too, every time I’ve been out now, fairly deep. Not targeting them but did catch one on a tingler spoon, it did come in very aggressive to smashed it.

They got a heavy dump along the East side- Trucks stuck everywhere.. this is going to really mess up spring fishing- going to make for bad floodwater. Haha- there was a Honda Civic out yesterday- dont think they will pull that off again this year. Trails should get bashed out over the weekend though

Snow is deep!!! Was at brownlows area and broke trail, it was challenging to say the least (4x4 half ton with winter tires). Came across a young fella that was stuck in a Ford ranger, sitting there for hours as there was nobody nearby. His buddies came shortly after I arrived. We got him out and one his way. Really watch the drifts close to the permanent shacks as the snow really piles deep around them. Be prepared, shovels and towing slings etc. As mentioned, trials will develop with the weekend traffic. Stay safe and fun fishing!

I was out over the weekend for around 30 hours. Saw either a real big and fat white, or a carp on camera, went by quick and was hard to tell. Saw two or three good sized pike and a definite white which almost took a small rattle bait, and caught one pike maybe 24" long. Downsides of fishing a shack instead of a pop up I guess. Haven't seen much out there all year, but I think it may be my buddies shack placement that has not moved haha. Snow was very deep, but soft so able to get through if careful and plan your route. Drifts can be close to 4 feet in areas and rock hard. Only saw two others fishing the whole time. Fish and game came through on sleds though, first I'd seen them this year. Usual checks and on their way. Thinking about Saturday though, maybe the fish went shallow or closer to the ice with the drastic warm up, I had fished the whole column though... Was also surprised I could see bottom perfectly in 16 feet, my usual fishing places are not so clear, barely see 2 feet under the ice at some haha.

First time went to Brownlowes yesterday afternoon. Got stuck just entering the lake. Towed out by an NICE lady-THANK YOU SO MUCH!
Fished about 2.5 hrs, caught 3 whites and a decent pike (released) between 2 of us. Saw very few perch, but no bites.
Was a great day though.

Barbot have been extinct in the area for years.
Now if you were interested in burbot, they are doing well
