Question Tanned Pelt Pricing: Update..Lynx?

Happy New Year, trappers!

Just wanting some advice on pricing some tanned pelts we plan to put up for sale; downsizing and trying to earn some money, too!

We have two x-small beavers, one six foot woof * (not the greatest tanning job, but nice color) and one fabulous huge grey woof (kinda don't want to sell him, but...). I checked pricing on Trapper Gord's and Halford's.

Thanks in advance!

* AKA "wolf"

It's a tough one with the fur markets now a lot more people started tanning hides to keep or sell themselves, also depends on how much you have into the tanning, the small beaver probably cost you around 40-50 to tan? if you can sell them for more than $60-$100 right now I'd be surprised and the wolfs also depend on size color and quality, if its big and nice fur good tan they sell from $400-$800 but with a poor tan that would drastically kill your price... It all depends on what a buyer is willing to pay. Good luck

Thanks! We decided to price the beavers at 60 each or 2/100. The smaller wolf at 200. and have an interested guy already. Big wolf we will hold on to for now, I think. Trapper Gord's had one online for $750.00 which apparently had holes in it...

P.S. I posted them all in the Misc. Buy and Sell on here.

Default What price to put on a lynx?

So, we sold the wolf. No interest on the beavers yet, but I can only advertise them on AO and Kijiji. Facebook keeps putting red rejection banners over my ads!

Hubby wants to sell his lynx now, but I can find very little out there for sale to compare. Saw some on an Alberta website for $399.00. Ours is large, claws removed, not spotted. Any help appreciated.
